Job Overview

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Medford, MA

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour, based on experience

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates pre-appointment arrangements by addressing patients' unique needs, ensuring all necessary tests and labs are completed ahead of their visit, and organizing patient records.
  • Accompanies patients to examination rooms and records vital signs.
  • Executes a range of patient care tasks within the Medical Assistant scope, including administering injections and performing EKGs.
  • Collects blood samples following established protocols while ensuring a respectful and patient-focused environment.
  • Assists healthcare providers during clinical procedures.
  • Prepares and submits laboratory requisitions and specimens.
  • Processes electronic prescriptions as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Communicates with patients regarding lab results, imaging outcomes, and prescription guidance in accordance with practice standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
  • Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality regarding all patient information, including treatment details, medical history, and financial records.
  • During busy periods, may be required to assist with administrative tasks as a Practice Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
