Job Summary

AmeriGas Propane, the nation's largest propane distributor, is seeking a safety-minded and customer-focused Service Technician in Livingston, MT. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks, as well as delivering propane and filling tanks for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane as needed
  • Perform daily functions in a safe manner, adhering to federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid CDL A or B license
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required or willing to obtain
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months CDL driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Must have previous employment experience working with hand tools
  • Previous HVAC, Plumbing, Maintenance, or Mechanical experience preferred
  • Propane industry experience is a plus
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to load/unload 50-pound cylinders (up to 200/day) and pull 75-pound hoses that are 150 feet or more
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check

Home Time, Route, and Schedule
  • Home every night
  • Day shift schedule; start times vary by location; shifts will be 8 to 12 hours depending on fluctuating needs
  • Committing to a paid rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergencies after hours
  • Hours can vary during peak season. Can work up to 60 hours a week
  • Working 6-day work weeks with 10-hour shifts and paid overtime
