Key Responsibilities:
As a Property Field Inspection Claims Specialist, you will utilize your expertise to manage claims related to accidents and weather events affecting homeowners and commercial properties. You will serve as the primary contact for our insured clients, explaining coverage, estimating damages, and guiding them through the claims process while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing on-site inspections and evaluations of property damage for both residential and commercial claims
  • Collaborating with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve claims effectively
  • Providing outstanding customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism
  • Collecting necessary evidence, documenting findings, and preparing comprehensive reports to support claims management
  • Investigating and adjusting property claims with exposures up to $500,000
  • Assessing coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Negotiating and settling claims within authorized limits, adhering to policy provisions and company guidelines
  • Flexibility to work in the field and remotely, with occasional travel to assist in other areas as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and irregular schedules, based on business requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claims Specialist in the insurance sector, particularly in property claims
  • Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims handling practices
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial building construction
  • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance in Texas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage difficult conversations with a customer-focused approach
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
  • Proficient in claims management software and relevant tools

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and navigating roofs
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with complex or high-value claims
  • Background in construction
  • Knowledge of water mitigation inspection
  • Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents software
