Part-time Registered Nurse

We are seeking a part-time registered nurse to provide services to our nonpublic schools in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide preventive health services to students, support the education process, and work to assure the health of students. The part-time registered nurse will work approximately 20-25 hours per week during the school year.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering prescribed medication and treatments, providing counsel, and taking vital signs as needed.
- Perform necessary first aid duties, implement procedures, and use training skills to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
- Provide health assessments, develop and implement emergency care plans, and individualized health plans as appropriate.
- Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students.
- Coordinate school and community health activities and serve as a liaison health professional between the home, school, and community.
- Complete record keeping related to immunizations, annual immunization status report, incident reports, infectious disease reporting, Early Childhood Screening results, medication administration records, specialized health tasks, health office daily logs, and screening results.
- Participate in screening programs for growth, vision, and hearing, etc.
- Maintain nonpublic health services supply inventory for each nonpublic school, order health supplies, and maintain a log for supplies used.
- Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota and holds an unrestricted license.
- Certified in CPR or BLS (or obtain in the first 6 months).
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with students, parents, administrators, other school personnel, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
