Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Mercy. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, and other unit-specific certifications as required.
