We are currently seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of dedicated professionals in San Diego, CA.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly salary ranging from $18.92 to $27.65. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and life coverage, as well as accrued paid time off and paid holidays.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient arrival, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading, accurately documenting this information in the patient's file.
  • Obtain and document the patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form, adhering to clinic policies.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered by a healthcare professional, ensuring accurate results and minimal risk to the patient.
  • Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and efficient working environment.
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies, ensuring timely and accurate communication with laboratory staff.
  • Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in and enter diagnosis and departing time when the patient is released, utilizing electronic medical records efficiently.
Requirements
  • Degree: Certificate
  • Education: Graduation from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
  • Certification: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists.
