Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the acute care setting. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice and the established model of nursing.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, wound care, medication administration, and patient observations, within the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare team members to create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively to assigned patients.
  • Perform standard diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, phlebotomy, bladder scans, and glucose scans, as necessary.
  • Collect urinary specimens and assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients.
  • Utilize High-Reliability Organization (HRO) principles within the scope of daily work.
  • Care for specific patient populations and prioritize patient needs, dignity, and respect.
  • Meet accreditation, regulatory, and compliance responsibilities and annual education requirements related to the position.
  • Work to promote a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prefer experience in a clinical setting.
