We are currently seeking a full-time Inventory Management Specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage inventory processes and collaborate with the finance department to ensure all received goods match invoiced amounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and prepare comprehensive inventory reports, including dated assessments and bin evaluations.
- Verify returned items against invoices; secure vendor return authorizations; assess for outdated or damaged returns; and manage inventory adjustments as necessary.
- Process customer credits and apply any additional charges, ensuring accurate verification of restock fees as outlined by vendor documentation.
- Manage vendor recall items and ensure timely processing of returned products.
- Identify and manage dead stock and obtain quarterly return authorizations; input returns and inform the purchasing team of return timelines.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and order issues to ensure accurate records.
- Reconcile purchase orders by identifying discrepancies between receipts, packing slips, and inventory counts, including physically locating and counting products.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of company needs and expectations.
- Thoroughly understand ORSA's internal processes and products, integrating our culture into all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse, inventory, or distribution roles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks typical of inventory management, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently with colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective time management abilities.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in computer applications; experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Dependable and capable of working independently.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
