Position Overview:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians, adhering to nursing standards and regulations, and under the guidance of the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document resident progress in medical records.
• Monitor residents' positioning and mobility.
• Update physician orders based on residents' progress.
• Communicate vital information regarding residents' conditions to charge nurses and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment cart and restock supplies as needed.
• Adhere to Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following facility protocols.
• Document pressure sore status weekly or as conditions change.
• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications and medical supplies to ensure adequate availability for residents' needs.
• Participate in educational programs for residents and their families regarding skin care upon discharge.
• Engage in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in Montana.
• Preferred: At least one year of experience in Skilled Nursing.
• Must possess a current CPR certification.
• Strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Highest level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
