Job Overview

The Electrical Systems Design Engineer - High Voltage Power Distribution will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating high-voltage power distribution systems for Ford Motor Company's electric and hybrid vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop high-voltage power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  2. Collaborate with electrical architecture, control systems, and component engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
  3. Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, schematics, and documentation for power distribution systems
  4. Analyze and troubleshoot system performance issues, working closely with test engineers and suppliers to resolve problems
  5. Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, supporting the company's strategic goals and objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, high-voltage power distribution, or related field
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB)
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Eagle
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
