Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Avondale, Arizona.
Job SummaryThe Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse is responsible for circulating in the operating room and assisting physicians with advanced tasks or equipment during surgical procedures. This includes cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions.
Responsibilities- Prepares for surgical procedures by completing assessment of the patient and reviewing patient chart, diagnostics, and labs.
- Formulates and initiates plan of care based on patient specific needs and medical plan of care.
- Provides care based on physician orders and in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements.
- Assists with OR turnover between cases and participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
- Participates in or leads the training and orientation of surgical staff and students, as assigned.
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- One year of operating room experience in the acute care setting.
- Preferred experience: 1 year in CVOR setting.
- Sign-On bonus.
