Position Summary:

ASRC Federal is seeking a highly qualified Staff HPC Engineer to provide exceptional support for Inuteq LLC. This role is crucial in delivering advanced High Performance Computing solutions to our esteemed federal government clientele. We are committed to fostering innovation, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement, and integrating leading industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and oversee HPC clusters exceeding 2000 nodes along with over 100 petabytes of data storage capacity.
  • Design and develop scalable functionalities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Generate scripts for system management, performance monitoring, and usage analytics.
  • Diagnose and rectify technical challenges effectively.
  • Investigate and integrate emerging technologies into existing systems.
  • Administer tools for configuration management and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to proposal development efforts.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members while ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Facilitate system operations and respond to user inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in HPC systems administration.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, or Fortran.
  • Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with system configuration tools and version control systems.
  • Outstanding communication and time management abilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in application debugging and optimization.
  • Familiarity with MPI programming and Lustre file systems.
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
