Lee County is seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist to enhance our team. The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring that our facilities are clean, sanitized, and visually appealing by executing general custodial responsibilities in a controlled work environment.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Perform custodial tasks, which include, but are not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing and sanitizing restrooms, washing windows and sills, and replenishing paper and soap supplies.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and bagging trash appropriately.
  • Occasionally conduct thorough cleaning activities, such as shampooing or steam-cleaning carpets.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Must hold a valid Illinois Driver's License (mandatory).
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED (mandatory).
  • Previous experience in custodial services is preferred.
  • Should be dependable, diligent, and a self-driven team player.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of understanding and following verbal or written instructions.
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to complete tasks within specified timeframes.
Background and security clearance will be required for this role.
