Dietitian Specialist

THIRA Health, a leading provider of mental health services, is seeking a skilled Dietitian Specialist to play a critical role in the care and treatment of patients with eating disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and provide personalized counseling to patients, collaborating with the clinical and medical treatment team to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and lead nutrition education groups for patients and their families, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition knowledge.
  • Monitor and assist patients with meal preparation and planning, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Support the development of meal and snack menus that promote positive treatment outcomes for patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Graduate of an accredited Dietetics program.
  • Current Registered Dietitian license in good standing with Washington State Certification.
  • Active WA State Food Worker's Card.
  • Prior experience working with patients with eating disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders (preferred).
