Job Summary:

As a Registered Dietitian at THIRA Health, you will be responsible for overseeing meal and nutrition-related aspects of programming and patient care. You will provide nutrition assessment and counseling to patients, coordinate care with the clinical and medical treatment team, and assist in treatment plans. Your expertise will help patients achieve their nutritional goals and improve their overall well-being.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nutritional care for patients in residential and PHP programs, including nutrition assessments, care planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with patients to develop meal plans and establish/assess nutrition goals using a HAES approach.
  • Monitor and assist patients with meal preparation and planning.
  • Support the development of meal and snack menus for PHP and residential patients.
  • Lead weekly nutrition education groups for patients and parents/caregivers.
  • Maintain all nutritional data for patients in EMR patient charts.
  • Communicate with outside providers and patient family members regarding nutritional information.
  • Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide regular meal and snack monitoring.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited Dietetics program.
  • Current Registered Dietitian license in good standing with Washington State Certification.
  • Active WA State Food Worker's Card.
  • Prior experience with eating disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, mood disorders, and/or anxiety-disordered patients is preferred.
