Position Overview

System One is collaborating with a leading Industrial Manufacturing organization to identify a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This role is situated in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the technician will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs on hydraulic machinery and perform maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Welding Expertise: Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick (including stainless), and gas welding.
  • Mobile Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain mobile machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Crane Maintenance: Execute crane maintenance tasks and demonstrate knowledge of safe rigging practices.
Qualifications

Applicants should adhere to all company policies and safety regulations. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial setting is preferred. Experience in a steelmaking environment is advantageous.

Skills Assessment

Candidates must be able to successfully complete a series of assessments, including:

  • Written skills-based test
  • Blueprint interpretation test
  • Hydraulic systems test
  • Welding proficiency test
