Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Controller to join our client's team in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with a strong command of financial management and analytical skills to contribute to our growth and success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the accounting department, overseeing cash management, accounts receivable and payable, journal entries, and purchasing. Develop and enhance systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the standard cost system, focusing on overhead rates and variance analysis.
  • Evaluate potential new ventures, acquisitions, and capital expenditure plans to support strategic growth.
  • Present comprehensive financial reports to inform and guide business decisions.
  • Oversight of the annual budget development process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare tax returns and other financial documentation, implementing strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Supervise asset depreciation schedules and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster strong relationships with auditors, bankers, creditors, and legal counsel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • CMA or CPA certification highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience in finance.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally between 5-10 years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a standard office setting within a manufacturing environment, requiring minimal travel.

This is a challenging and rewarding role with significant impact potential. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
