Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specimen processing and testing, including moderate and high complexity testing, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements, and serve as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
  • Manage assigned projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
  • Understand and perform quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.

Certifications:

  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
