Credit Manager Responsibilities

The Credit Manager will be responsible for:

  • Processing credit applications in-store or over the telephone
  • Accepting payments on accounts
  • Typing and administering sales contracts
  • Conducting daily collection calls to customers with payments due or to customers with past due accounts via telephone and home visits as needed
  • Approving or declining and issuing lines of credit to customers
  • Conducting credit investigations
  • Contacting customers with delinquent accounts and following proper collection procedures

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Some knowledge of clerical procedures
  • Intermediate credit/collections skills
  • Novice retail management and sales skills
  • Dedication to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity
  • Job security
  • High school diploma or better
  • 2 years of experience in clerical, payment collection, or customer service
