X-ray Technologist Trainer Job Description

Patient First is seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist Trainer to join our team in Hanover, Maryland. As a Trainer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our imaging staff have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure.
  • Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
  • Create and document x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines.
  • Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment.
  • Use the bell system effectively.
  • Filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork.
  • Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Understand and use the Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen.
  • Operate the automated medical records system.
  • Clean work areas and maintain equipment according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Receive, move, and restock ordered supplies.
  • Adhere to Patient First policies and procedures.
  • Address physician and nurse requests promptly and respectfully.
  • Complete tasks listed on checklists for the x-ray area and treatment area.
  • Attend training classes and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Be available for patient care and center operations, including breaks and mealtimes.
