About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Trainer to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for training and educating our staff on the latest radiography techniques and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • X-ray Imaging and Quality Control
    • Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure techniques.
    • Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Operation
    • Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and Patient First protocols.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Create and document x-ray CD copies accurately, following Patient First guidelines.
    • Label images and sleeves correctly when making copies.
  • Staff Training and Education
    • Develop and deliver training programs for radiologic technologists and other staff members.
    • Provide ongoing education and support to ensure staff are proficient in radiography techniques and procedures.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Collaborate with the medical imaging team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete administrative tasks, such as filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks, adhering to Patient First policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Licensed to practice as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technologist by the relevant state board of health professions.
  • Experience and Skills
    • One year of clinical experience in radiography.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
