We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Trainer to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for training and educating our staff on the latest radiography techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- X-ray Imaging and Quality Control
- Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure techniques.
- Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation
- Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain equipment in good working order, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and Patient First protocols.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Create and document x-ray CD copies accurately, following Patient First guidelines.
- Label images and sleeves correctly when making copies.
- Staff Training and Education
- Develop and deliver training programs for radiologic technologists and other staff members.
- Provide ongoing education and support to ensure staff are proficient in radiography techniques and procedures.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with the medical imaging team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Administrative Tasks
- Complete administrative tasks, such as filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks, adhering to Patient First policies and procedures.
- Education and Certification
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed to practice as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technologist by the relevant state board of health professions.
- Experience and Skills
- One year of clinical experience in radiography.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
