Meat Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Receive and process meat deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
• Weigh, price, and label meat products for sale.
• Stock and maintain meat cases, ensuring products are properly displayed and rotated.
• Prepare valued-added meat products, such as cuts and special orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making product recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and make suggestive sales to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including processing cuts for the service counter.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continual maximum.
• Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.
