As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate within a Scrum team to enhance and develop our product offerings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining technical specifications for data integration solutions in an AWS cloud setting.
  • Creating innovative solutions by integrating cloud-native and third-party vendor technologies.
  • Conducting research and executing Proofs of Concept (POCs) with emerging technologies while adopting industry best practices for the cloud data platform.
  • Automating processes through Infrastructure as Code scripting.
  • Implementing comprehensive automation to ensure software currency.
  • Developing automation services for builds utilizing CloudFormation, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Creating Service Catalogs featuring products such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and SageMaker.
  • Fostering collaboration between business and IT teams.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale solutions in an enterprise environment.

• At least 2 years of experience in all facets of cloud design, development, and deployment.

• Strong understanding of networking principles in a cloud context.

• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.

• Hands-on expertise in Terraform, Python, and shell scripting, including automation tools.

• Proficient in AWS services such as S3, EFS, Lambda, EC2, SageMaker, IAM, and VPC.

• Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Spark, or PySpark.

• Familiarity with AWS data services, including various compute and storage solutions.

• Knowledge of RDS, NoSQL databases, RDBMS, and in-memory databases.

• Strong foundation in data structures, networking, performance, and scalability.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and ability to work in an Agile environment.

• A strong background in application development is preferred.

• One or more relevant certifications, such as Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps on an AWS platform.
