As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of our centers, ensuring they are welcoming environments for families and children. Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular preventative maintenance at assigned facilities, including work on Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, lighting, and general carpentry. Minor plumbing tasks will also be part of your duties. Conduct safety and security assessments of playgrounds and property. Assist in evaluating renovations and new construction projects, identifying potential capital replacement needs. Collaborate with center staff to promote best practices in facility upkeep. Work with local vendors for complex repairs and monitor their performance. Manage materials ordering, update or create work orders, and provide status updates using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Required Qualifications:

Experience with HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing, etc., in a multi-unit setting. Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, along with a solid grasp of preventive maintenance and repair. Must be qualified to operate a company vehicle based on a motor vehicle record check and company policy. Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read, comprehend, and apply facility maintenance manuals, technical bulletins, construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using work-related electronic devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad, laptop if provided).
