Job Title: Part Time Production Worker 9a-2p

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Worker to join our team at Alcom of Maine. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks involved in the production of aluminum trailers, including measuring, cutting, and drilling of aluminum, plywood, and skins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble different facets of a trailer, including inside trim, fenders, rough or finish wiring, and framing.
  • Read and follow blueprints and work orders to ensure a quality product that meets customer demands.
  • Obtain raw materials from Material Handlers and cut material by specifications on the cut.
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues, including defects in material, damage to the trailer, and deviations from work.
  • Ensure that the finished product meets quality expectations and strives for the highest level of quality and understands the need for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, work to minimize scrap, and dispose of waste.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any accidents or near misses to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum: hands-on experience working with a variety of power tools and reading a tape.
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing or construction is helpful, however, on-the-job training may be provided.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a 5-hour shift, mid-day shift. The work location is in person at Alcom of Maine.
