Responsibilities

Open Sky provides support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities referred by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Our mission is to create safe, nurturing homes that cater to individual needs and preferences. Every person in our residential programs is encouraged to engage actively in community life, whether through volunteering, attending classes, participating in group activities, or joining fitness programs. Our dedicated staff ensures that individuals receive the necessary support and skills to lead successful and fulfilling lives.

The Residential Support Specialist assists individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability in achieving maximum independence while delivering evidence-based care within a communal living setting. They provide guidance, support, and assist with various daily living activities. By implementing procedures that safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, counselors help them lead healthy, productive, and independent lives. They advocate strongly for the individuals served, believe in the power of community, and recognize the significance of community integration.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating individualized, person-centered treatment plans and take a lead role in their daily implementation.
  • Implement all necessary procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the living environment.
  • Assist individuals in accessing transportation as needed.
  • Review and complete all required documentation.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, required.
  • Reliability, eagerness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.


Compensation details: 17.5 Hourly Wage
