We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Savino Del Bene. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the import operations side of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Import Documentation Management: Receive, review, and process import documentation for our clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Documentation Distribution: Ensure that all relevant documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to carriers, customers, and agents.
- Logistics Coordination: Work with our brokerage and CFS teams to coordinate and monitor the release of goods from carriers, customs, and other governmental agencies.
- Quote Management: Obtain and create quotes for shipments, and source the best method of transportation to meet our clients' needs.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.
- Cost Reduction and Revenue Growth: Continuously explore options to reduce costs and increase revenues.
- Shipment Tracking and Updates: Track and trace shipments, and provide updates to clients and sales teams.
- Relationship Management: Uphold a strong and professional relationship with airlines, transportation agencies, and sales teams.
- Customer Satisfaction: Demonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction, in line with our company policy.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain shipment files, ensure billing is completed in a timely manner, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior experience is not required, as training in all aspects of international logistics will be provided.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of incoterms, excellent written and verbal communication skills, math skills for dimension conversions, and intermediate to advanced PC skills in MS Office.
- Personal Qualities: Highly organized, professional and courteous demeanor, flexible and open-minded, and a willingness to adapt to new environments and be a team player.
