Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physicians and Wound Nurses: Provide hands-on assistance to our physicians and wound nurses during bedside rounds, including troubleshooting and facilitating efficiency during rounds.
  • Wound Care Support: Assist with wound care procedures, including incontinence care, preparing patients for evaluation, assisting with dressing application, and full body skin exams.
  • Documentation and Communication: Take notes as dictated by our physicians during rounds, including wound measurements, locations, and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with our wound nurses and physicians to ensure seamless care.
  • Telemedicine Support: Assist with telemedicine visits and use of camera for video conference.
  • Supply Management: Ensure that appropriate supplies are stocked and ordered dressings are available.
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Must be a certified CNA in good standing with the state.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) is preferred.
  • Wound Care Knowledge: Knowledge of wound care principles and practices is beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
