Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology Department at Catholic Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with cardiologists, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional cardiovascular services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gather patient information, conduct physical examinations, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
  2. Perform inpatient, outpatient, and satellite office assessments, consultations, and follow-up care for patients, including reviewing medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing results.
  3. Document patient interactions, test results, and care plans in the electronic medical record, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  4. Collaborate with cardiologists to formulate treatment plans, provide procedural education to patients, and discuss concerns and recommendations.
  5. Admit patients for procedures, assess their readiness, and discuss procedural findings, risks, and benefits with patients and families.
  6. Conduct follow-up visits, assess patient status, and provide emotional support to patients and families.
  7. Manage patient discharges, including prescribing medications, arranging follow-up care, and collaborating with consultants, nurses, and social work.

Requirements:

  1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program.
  2. Three or more years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with a minimum of one year in cardiovascular care.
  3. Licensure and Certification: Licensed by the state of NH as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with ACLS authorization.
