Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
  • Assist the project management team in planning, coordinating, and executing tenant improvement projects in the life science and healthcare sectors.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance and identify potential issues or risks.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to develop detailed project schedules, track progress, and manage project milestones.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in the areas of life science and healthcare construction, including understanding complex systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful implementation of project designs.
  • Review and evaluate project drawings, shop drawings, and other technical documentation for accuracy and constructability.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project correspondence.
  • Generate regular progress reports, cost tracking reports, and other project-related documentation as required.
  • Support the project team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project records, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist in implementing quality control processes to ensure that workmanship and materials meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any quality or safety issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement corrective actions to resolve quality-related concerns.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among project team members.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior project engineers, supporting their professional development.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure project success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial construction project engineering, specifically in tenant improvement projects in the healthcare sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and systems relevant to life science and healthcare projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to life science and healthcare construction.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A team player with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., LEED, PMP) are a plus.
