Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team to execute P&C design projects for substations, ensuring adherence to client specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities include producing high-quality deliverables such as One-Line Diagrams, AC & DC Schematics, Panel Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Lists, and Bills of Material. A solid understanding of substation protection and control systems is essential, along with a willingness to familiarize oneself with client-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finalize engineering designs and supporting documentation, including calculations.
  • Coordinate, review, and verify calculations, specifications, reports, design details, plans, and drawings within assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with project scope, timelines, and budget for all assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by senior engineers or project managers.
  • Promote and maintain quality standards across all project work.
  • Engage with field engineers to address construction issues and facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Participate in team meetings and discussions as required.
  • Incorporate safety practices into all engineering activities.
  • Assist in enhancing project execution, work processes, and procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency or willingness to learn software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • A minimum of 4 years in P&C design
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
