Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Ensono. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and designing client databases, as well as troubleshooting and resolving database issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain IMS databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Develop and implement database recovery mechanisms and procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendor personnel to resolve database problems and implement timely solutions.
  • Perform day-to-day database maintenance, including backups, restores, and monitoring of file extent growth.
  • Develop and support new services and support efforts, focusing on database optimization and performance analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in IMS administration and systems programming support.
  • Extensive experience with IMS database organization, including VSAM and OSAM access methods.
  • Knowledge of database design and related utilities, including DBD source coding and DBDGEN.
  • Ability to work with multiple clients, including remote support and on-call responsibilities.
