Job Description and Duties

As a Stationary Engineer, you will be part of our team in Plant Operations at the Veterans Home of California, Yountville. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service to our residents and staff.

Working Conditions

On-going physical exertion and exposure to the elements. Interactions with residents and personnel, as well as the general public. Working overtime is a requirement of this position.

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required. Must have the ability to perform heavy physical work and use heavy tools and equipment.
