About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Advanced Recovery Systems. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals struggling with addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and monitor patients in treatment, reporting any concerns or issues to the clinical team.
  • Contribute to the welfare of the organization by assisting patients with various activities and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Communicate and enforce facility program rules, ensuring compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner.
  • Address problem behaviors through verbal de-escalation techniques and adhere to time schedules.
  • Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Keep clinical records secure at all times and encourage patients to maintain recovery post-discharge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
  • Associate degree in a health-related field preferred, or minimum two years' experience in a BHT or similar patient care role.
  • Medication Technician/QMAP Certification, Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical (MA) preferred or as per state requirement.
  • CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
