We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Development Specialist to work with an elementary school caseload. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, preparing detailed reports, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
About the RoleThis position requires providing support for students' academic, social, and emotional development, collaborating with educational teams, and assisting in creating effective intervention plans. The ideal candidate will have experience with psycho-educational assessments and report writing, familiarity with IEP processes, and strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing assessment results and recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development
- Masters degree or higher in Psychology
- Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with psycho-educational assessments and report writing
- Familiarity with IEP processes and working with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
