Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the coordination and flow of patients throughout their visit to create an exceptional patient experience.
  • Proactively checking the provider's schedule and reviewing information within the patient record to ensure that all required information is available prior to their visit.
  • Obtaining any missing information from the patient to ensure that medical records are accurate and up-to-date, which helps to ensure better care is being provided.
  • Capturing patient's vital signs, past medical, social and family history, medication usage and preferred pharmacy information upon arrival.
  • Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements including HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency plus basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
  • Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days.
  • Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties or certification as a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Health Career Association (NHA).
