Leadership Development Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leadership Development Specialist to join our team at Adams and Associates, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and facilitating leadership training instruction for students, infusing leadership development activities into Center operations, and providing comprehensive and individualized case management to ensure student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and coordinate community services opportunities for students
* Develop Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, Career Technical Training, and Work-Based Learning
* Routinely evaluate and document student performance using the case management system
* Develop certifications for the Student Leadership program
* Select and train students for leadership roles
* Work with the SGA/Leadership Coordinators of other Centers to administer the Student Government Association and serve as Co-Advisors for this group of students
* Participate in instruction of the Extended Training Day program
* Work with the SGA/Leadership Coordinators of other Centers to oversee the Student Welfare Fund activities and purchases
* Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner
* Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards
* Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
* Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
* Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties
* Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
* Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population
* Take swift and appropriate action when needed and positively influence student behavior
* Show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior
* Provide quality programs and services for students and ensure that quality is maintained and student needs are met
* Pursue improvement and enhancement of programs and services
* Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge
* Provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested
* Provide transportation as required
* Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas
* Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions
* Follow up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and ensure that problems are, in fact, corrected
* Effectively promote the Center's leadership program and activities to all staff via training and written and oral communication
* Work in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students
* Accept direction and supervision from the Executive Center Director/Deputy Center Director/Social Development Director/Center Shift Manager/Weekend Director to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions

**Requirements**

* Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school required
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school preferred
* Post-High School leadership, or related, training courses preferred
* Previous Job Corps or related program experience required
* Must have strong facilitation skills to deliver training programs to students
* Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements
