Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: This role is essential in supporting the Management Team by ensuring product availability for all customers while fostering a productive work atmosphere. The individual will collaborate closely with the Store Manager and Merchandising Supervisor to achieve these objectives.

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports directly to the General Manager (GM)

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Management

SALARY STATUS: Exempt

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure compliance with Trexcon policies and procedures in all activities.
  2. Effectively communicate with team members regarding inventory status and merchandise concerns, as well as updates on new products and promotional events.
  3. Adapt to changes efficiently and manage additional tasks as required, maintaining flexibility in daily operations.
  4. Support Trexcon's mission statement and Core Values.
  5. Utilize the current scanning process to check in incoming orders.
  6. Price merchandise appropriately before displaying on the sales floor.
  7. Facilitate product transfers between stores using the established scanning system.
  8. Organize and stock products in an appealing manner for customers.
  9. Set up promotional displays and sales setups.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  11. Negotiate merchandise contracts with GM approval.
  12. Source and purchase general merchandise for all store locations.
  13. Conduct annual resets of merchandise displays.
  14. Maintain merchandising standards across all stores on a weekly basis.
  15. Ensure the warehouse is organized and accurately inventoried.
  16. Oversee the Smart Rewards program.
  17. Negotiate special pricing arrangements with vendors.
  18. Establish the end cap template for new monthly promotions.
  19. Maintain effective communication with store managers.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  1. Assist in the organization of company events.
  2. Take care of assigned company property, including office equipment and vehicles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Prolonged periods of standing are required.
  2. Physical exertion is necessary to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push items weighing at least 55 lbs.
  3. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing may be required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  2. Must have a clean driving record.
