Job Title: Library Clerk

Job Summary:

The Library Clerk is responsible for providing support to the library team in various administrative and operational tasks. This includes maintaining the library's collection, assisting patrons, and performing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the library's collection by shelving books, processing new materials, and performing other collection-related tasks.
  • Assist patrons with finding materials, answering research questions, and providing other support as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and other office duties.
  • Assist with library events and programs as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the library team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a library or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of library software.

Working Conditions:

The Library Clerk will work in a library setting and will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
