About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Product Security and Technical Risk Management to join our team at SAS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our product security and technical risk management efforts, ensuring the security and integrity of our software and services.

In this role, you will work closely with our product management, engineering, and architecture teams to identify and mitigate security risks, develop and implement secure development practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and architecture teams, to ensure that security is integrated into every aspect of our software development lifecycle.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about product security and technical risk management, and who has a strong track record of leading teams and driving results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of secure development practices and processes
  • Identify and mitigate security risks across the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and architecture teams
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team of security professionals
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, system architecture and design, software testing, or related experience
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with product or application secure development life cycle
  • 3-5 years of experience in a people leadership role, leading engineering teams focused on application, product, and/or corporate security
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle methodology and secure development best practices
  • Familiarity with SaaS security considerations, including public cloud security deployment and implementation issues
  • Strong foundation in core information security and/or cyber security principles and concepts
