About the Role

The Next-Generation, Cloud, and SaaS team at SAS is seeking a Principal Product Manager- Quantum Computing to shape the company's product strategy for quantum computing.

This role involves expanding SAS' optimization, machine learning, and AI capabilities into emerging technology, working on a team that manages next-generation analytics and AI strategy, and collaborating across multiple business units to ensure a world-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, execute, and promote the overall vision and roadmap for SAS offerings in quantum computing.
  • Provide quantum computing domain expertise and thought leadership internally and externally.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements based on business drivers, customer inputs, market direction, and field contribution.
  • Collaborate with and drive product development in R&D based on requirements management, risk management, risk mitigation, and product lifecycles.
  • Execute the product development life cycle for new and emerging 'analytics on quantum computing' product offers.
  • Support product launches as primary content provider to facilitate knowledge transfer of quantum computing capabilities to marketing and sales.
  • Present product vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal constituents, customers, press, analysts, and at events.
  • Identify new market opportunities and evaluate emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or challenges to the company.
  • Collaborate with partner vendors who provide quantum computing to help with product integration and go-to-market activities.
  • Serve as a product champion by analyzing external market trends, competition, opportunities that impact SAS' serviceable addressable market.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related discipline.
  • 12 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry, preferably including product management.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Experience with analytics including optimization and/or machine learning.
  • Familiarity with and a willingness to learn aspects of quantum physics, quantum algorithms, and/or heterogeneous computing environments.
  • Excellent ability to track current industry trends in quantum computing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, engaging in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated history of making good decisions in a fast-paced environment, in a highly collaborative environment across multiple business units.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
