- Identify and analyze active threats across T-Mobile's corporate networks and user endpoints.
- Conduct threat modeling and hunting to inform log ingestion requirements for effective use case development.
- Create and maintain custom detection rules and alerts to monitor for suspicious activities.
- Manage the security detection lifecycle, including maintenance and tuning of detection tools.
- Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of detection capabilities.
- Participate in incident response efforts, ensuring prompt action during security incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Proven track record in driving security-related projects to successful completion.
- Expertise in multiple security domains and incident handling.
- Experience with threat modeling and high-level security architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and scripting languages.
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in detection engineering.
- 5+ years in cybersecurity operations with a strong understanding of SIEM tools.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and cybersecurity regulations.
