Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in home healthcare is essential.
  • Certification and formal training in ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding are mandatory.
  • OASIS Certification is required.
  • Licensure as a Clinician (RN, LPN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or ST) is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the pre-lock abstraction of pertinent medical data for the accurate assignment and sequencing of diagnosis codes through remote evaluation of home health agency documentation and other clinical records.
  • Ensure that alerts and omissions in the OASIS are recognized and rectified in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply home care policies and regulatory guidelines related to diagnosis coding and sequencing with precision.
  • Assign, sequence, and enter diagnosis codes with a minimum accuracy rate of 95% within the designated time frame.
  • Maintain an average daily productivity quota as assigned.
