Job Summary:
">As a Diesel Technician at Ryder, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and reliability of our fleet vehicles. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic problems, and providing exceptional customer service to our drivers and customers.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of their complaints and provide effective solutions.
- Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures.
- Coaches/Mentors other level technicians.
- Advises shop management and other technicians on shop repairs.
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Requirements:
">- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
- Basic tools, required.
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
- Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A,preferred.
- All other certification as required by location, required.
