Family Coach

Strategic Therapy Associates Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Coach to join our team. As a Family Coach, you will work with at-risk youth and their families to provide life-skills training, coaching, and support. Your goal will be to help youth and their families build awareness, explore options, and make positive changes.

• Provide one-on-one life-skills training, coaching, and support to clients
• Explain societal norms, rules, and options and aid in exploring options
• Motivate clients while encouraging, guiding, and steering them toward positive changes
• Set a positive example for the client
• Engage with clients in a positive, professional, and respectful manner during the duration of the session
• Complete all documentation related to client progress daily, accurately, on time, and according to all standards and requirements
• Strong team player with the ability to correspond with other team members to give updates on client's progress
• Provide safe transportation of clients to-and-from programs or community outings
• Maintain clean and operable vehicles
• Be flexible, open-minded and willing, and able to adjust to last-minute changes

• Prefer candidates currently enrolled in or who have completed a Bachelor's degree program in the human services field
• Must have valid Driver's License, own vehicle, good driving record & willingness to transport youth within the community
• Ability to pass a background check and TB screen
• Preferably some experience working with at-risk children and/or adolescents
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage difficult clients
• Ability to restrain escalated clients as needed (training provided)
• Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills
• Team player
