Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neuropsychology Specialist to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and developing neurofunctional assessments, including neuropsychological and psychological batteries. They will also assist with translating findings into therapeutic approaches and participate in the supervision of students/residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement neurofunctional assessments for pediatric patients
  • Translate assessment findings into therapeutic approaches
  • Supervise students/residents in neuropsychology
  • Counsel and educate families on neuropathology and management of neuropsychological deficits
  • Assist with coordination of clinical database and promote research
Requirements
  • Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Psychology degree
  • Georgia licensed neuropsychologist or eligible with proof of application
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • 4 years of experience in direct assessment and care of patients with neurological diagnoses
  • Experience in providing family therapy/counseling related to issues of impaired neurofunctioning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology
  • Experience in supervising students
