Job Title: RN Director Ambulatory Care

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Director of Ambulatory Care. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary:

The RN Director of Ambulatory Care will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our ambulatory care services, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of our outpatient clinics, supervising a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals, and collaborating with physicians and other stakeholders to achieve our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in our ambulatory care services.
  • Oversee the clinical operations of our outpatient clinics, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other stakeholders to achieve our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these issues.
  • Provide education and training to staff on clinical procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of North Carolina required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in invasive cardiology, cardiology, or cardiology specialist nursing required.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or International Board Of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification preferred.
  • Experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
