Position:

Systems Engineer

KBR is in search of a skilled Systems Engineer to provide support for a significant contract with the U.S. Government. This role involves collaboration with various locations and the U.S. Government on systems engineering and intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a background in the Intelligence Community and have a solid understanding of standard systems engineering methodologies and intelligence-gathering practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a liaison among multiple U.S. Government entities; this role may require travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA).
  • Provide guidance and support for intelligence analysis, technical collection, and exploitation priorities aligned with U.S. Government operations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mission planning and requirements, focusing on solutions that address system, personnel, and process needs.
  • Establish and coordinate technical support related to mission capabilities and constraints.
  • Address unforeseen circumstances or new developments that necessitate on-site engagement to enhance operational knowledge and inform U.S. Government management.
  • Facilitate access to U.S. Government-hosted intelligence databases, offering training and administrative support to foster collaborative networks.
  • Coordinate direct interactions between analysts and collection managers regarding policy, program, managerial, analytic, or operational responsibilities.
  • Offer advice and assistance in formulating requirements, emphasizing U.S. Government plans and operations, and participating in exercises and simulations.
  • Educate U.S. Government personnel on joint all-source analytic tradecraft training concerning writing for release and reporting criteria.
  • Generate programmatic and technical documentation to aid the program management decision-making process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a STEM-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience collaborating with the community to prioritize and task technical collection efforts.
  • Experience in processing and exploiting technical intelligence and producing intelligence products for community dissemination.
  • Familiarity with Space Situational/Domain Awareness.

Travel Requirements:

Domestic and international travel may be required up to 50%.

Security Clearance:

An active TS-SCI with Poly security clearance is mandatory.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $136,840-$180,000, specific to the central coast of California. The offered rate will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may provide bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation based on internal policies or contractual agreements. This may include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
