We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at Aspire Health Group. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients with end-stage renal disease.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Obtain pre and post treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessment, and report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse.
- Responsible for the setup, operation, and performing safety checks of hemodialysis machines.
- Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and policy.
- Perform heparin administration as allowed by state law.
- Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment, including vital signs, treatment parameters, and change in condition.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
- Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.
- Able to meet physical demands of the position.
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience.
- Dialysis certification required.
