About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Setup Specialist to join our team at B&G Manufacturing Co. in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine setups for production runs on CNC Swiss lathes, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances, and monitor machine operations to make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments and troubleshoot issues that may arise during production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss lathes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of machine setups for production runs and familiarity with machine brands such as Star and Tsugami.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
